We have been working hard with our donkeys to be more rideable and they are both coming along well. Shirlee, our standard donkey has lost weight and is able to have a rider for an hour easily. Sarge, our mammoth donkey is getting over his shyness slowly but can be ridden again. Both still have much to learn and always with donkeys they move on “donkey time”, meaning they can be slow when you want to go and fast when you want to be slow…the learning curve for them is a bit different than horses.
